What is bag in box packaging？
Bag-in-Box (bib bag,) is a packaging solution that combines a flexible inner bag with a rigid outer box. It is widely used in the storage, transportation and distribution of liquid or semi-liquid products.
1. Structure and technical features
Basic structure:
Inner bag: mostly made of multi-layer composite materials (PE, VMPET, PA, etc.), with the function of blocking oxygen, light and moisture. Some high-end products use EVOH to enhance the barrier property.
Outer box: usually corrugated cardboard, providing physical protection and facilitating stacking and transportation.
Valve/faucet: The inner bag is equipped with a butterfly valve, screw cap or dispenser to facilitate the removal of contents on demand, and can still keep fresh for several weeks after opening.
Aseptic bag:Using high temperature sterilization (such as UHT), irradiation or chemical treatment to ensure that the packaging material and the contents are combined in a sterile environment, suitable for sensitive products such as juice, dairy products, and medicines.
