What properties of the stand up pouch for jam packaging should be focus on

(1) Barrier. Barrier ability to oxygen in the environment. If the barrier property of the packaging material is poor, the oxygen transmission is low. Then the oxygen in the environment penetrates into the packaging will bee more, the jam is prone to mold and the bag will rise because of the large amount of oxygen.

Kneading resistance performance – it can be verified by comparing the oxygen transmission test of the samples before and after rubbing or the turpentine oil test of the samples after rubbing, to prevent the packaging from being greatly reduced in barrier properties under the action of external force due to poor rubbing resistance, or even leakage. Gas, leakage.

(2) Physical and mechanical properties Uniformity of thickness – It is verified by testing the thickness of the packaging. The uniformity of thickness is the basis for ensuring the stable performance of packaging materials. Heat sealing effect – verified by heat sealing strength test to prevent problems such as bag breakage or leakage due to poor sealing effect of heat sealing edges. Composite fastness – verified by peel strength test, if the peel strength of the stand-up pouch is low, it may cause delamination of the packaging bag during use.

The opening performance of the lid – verified by the rotation torque test to prevent the inconvenience to consumers due to the excessive rotation torque between the lid and the suction nozzle, or leakage due to the untightening of the lid and the suction nozzle . Airtightness – verified by the airtightness (negative pressure method) test to prevent liquid leakage and air leakage in the finished jam packaging.

(3) Hygienic performance Residual amount of organic solvent – verified by solvent residue test, if the residual amount of solvent is too much, the packaging film will have peculiar smell, and the residual solvent will easily migrate into the jam, resulting in peculiar smell and affecting the health of consumers.

Non-volatile matter content – verified by evaporation residue test to prevent a large amount of migration and contamination of jam due to the high content of non-volatile substances in the packaging material during long-term contact with jam.
