How to choose the material of packaging film

Like packaging bags, packaging film is divided into inner layer material and outer layer material.
1. The outer layer material usually chooses materials with good mechanical strength, heat resistance, good printing performance and good optical performance. Commonly used are polyester (PET), nylon (NY), stretched polypropylene (BOPP), paper, etc.
2. The most critical function of the inner layer material is the sealability, and the inner layer material is the material that directly contacts the food. It must be non-toxic, odorless, water-resistant, and oil-resistant. The commonly used materials are polyethylene (PE) and cast polypropylene ( CPP), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA).

3，Requirements and functions of intermediate layer materials:
Only three-layer and more than three-layer packaging film will use the intermediate layer material. Its function is to strengthen a certain characteristic of the composite packaging film, such as barrier properties, shading properties, fragrance retention, strength and other properties. The most used materials are aluminum foil (AL), aluminized (VMPET, VMCPP), polyester (PET), nylon (NY) and EVOH, etc….
